FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(11.11.2019 to 15.11.2019) The second phase of our teaching practice session began on 11 November 2019 at Vimala Hridaya Girls Higher Secondary School. During this session too, I was allotted the same class as that of the first phase, ie, VIII.H. By the end of this week, I was able to complete five lesson plans. The usual proceedings at the school continued during this phase too. Almost everyday we had to go for substitution duties and noon meal programme. Fortunately, I got all my periods this week because of which I could effectively transact all the contents of my lesson plan. On November 14, Children's Day celebrations were organised at the school.A resourceful assembly was conducted which gave a lot of info and facts regarding Children's Day. Students dressed up as Nehru and Indiraji were quite interesting to watch. A Children's Day rally was also organised. I got an opportunity to take the students for the rally. It helped me to improve my organizing and management skills. Many cultural programmes that widened the knowledge horizon of the students were conducted that day. Speeches on the life history of Chachaji, dance performances, song etc... were organised. In overall the programmes were resourceful for both the students as well as the teachers. It was rather good to be at the school during the week.

REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK

INTRODUCTION Innovation in its modern meaning is "a new idea, creative thoughts, new imaginations in form of device or method". Innovation is  often also viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.  In order to fulfill the curricular achievements of the B.Ed course we teacher trainees had to prepare an innovative  work in the fourth semester for the high school section. During the course of my teaching practice session I found out that majority of the students in the high school section lacked a proper vocabulary. Once in the class while dealing with the section of synonyms I found out that most of my kids were struggling to give the proper answers for the synonym exercise which I had provided them.
