SIXTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(16.12.19 to 20.12.19) The second terminal examinations were progressing at the school during this week too. The exams were over by Wednesday 18 December 2019 and the school closed for Christmas holidays on 20 December 2019. A celebration for the staff was organised at the school on the closing date. Like in the previous week, being at the school during these exam days helped us to learn more about the various proceedings for conducting examinations. We were exempted from the invigilation duties. So we were busy with our works. We engaged ourselves by completing our records, discussing about our pending works and so on. The necessary preparations for the achievement and diagnostic tests had to be done like the preparation of the blueprint, setting up of question paper etc... as we were having only about two weeks remaining to be at school. FIFTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(09.12.2019 to 13.12.2019) The fifth week of our practice teaching session got successfully completed. This week, there were no regular classes at the school as the second terminal exams were going on. The exams started on 9 December 2019 and stretched up to 20 December 2019. Being at school during this exam period helped us trainees a lot. We were able to understand how exams were organised and conducted. This would undoubtedly help us in the mere future if we were to pursue our career as a teacher. There were exams on both afternoon and forenoon sessions. The Deputy HM and other staff took utmost care in conducting the exams. English exam was on Tuesday. The questions were rather easy and almost all of them were from the topics discussed in the class. The exam seemed easy for the students. Bishop Stanley Roman scholarship exam was conducted at the school last week. We got an opportunity to value the answer sheets of the exam. FOURTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(02.12.2019 to 06.12.2019) In the fourth week of the practice teaching session we got only four working days at the school. On Monday, 02.12.2019, there was an educational strike due to which we lost a working day. All the other four days we were able to take classes as per our lesson plans. Since the Christmas exams were fast approaching, we had to finish the portions for the exams. I was able to complete all the portions for exam by Thursday and also was able to make the students do all the pending activities. The State Youth Festival was over and the students of the school had won many prizes thus making their presence felt at the Youth Festival. The H.M. had congratulated all the students who participated in the festival and also had thanked all the teachers and non-teaching staff who had supported the students. THIRD WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(25.11.2019 to 30.11.2019) We had successfully completed the third week of practice teaching session at Vimala Hridaya Girls Higher Secondary School. This week too, I was able to take my classes according to my lesson plans. I had spent a lot of time this week by engaging my students in doing activities related to the lessons.On Tuesday 26.11.2019, a PTA meeting was conducted at the school.Such meetings helped parents to know about the progress of their children. On 28.11.2019 Thursday, as a part of the 'Safe Kollam' programme an awareness programme was conducted at the school by the District Police Department and Vanitha Commission. The programme was meant for the students of ninth standard. Bishop Stanley Roman Sapthathy Scholarship Exam was also conducted on the same day at the school. On Friday the catholic students of the school participated on a rally organised by the Kerala Catholic Students League. The rally was from Convent Junction to Chinnakada. Students were dressed...
