FIFTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(09.12.2019 to 13.12.2019) The fifth week of our practice teaching session got successfully completed. This week, there were no regular classes at the school as the second terminal exams were going on. The exams started on 9 December 2019 and stretched up to 20 December 2019. Being at school during this exam period helped us trainees a lot. We were able to understand how exams were organised and conducted. This would undoubtedly help us in the mere future if we were to pursue our career as a teacher. There were exams on both afternoon and forenoon sessions. The Deputy HM and other staff took utmost care in conducting the exams. English exam was on Tuesday. The questions were rather easy and almost all of them were from the topics discussed in the class. The exam seemed easy for the students. Bishop Stanley Roman scholarship exam was conducted at the school last week. We got an opportunity to value the answer sheets of the exam. The questions were MCQ model. So the valuation process was more easy. As the participation for the exam was rather positive, there were quite a large number of papers to be valued. Initially we wondered how we will complete it within the specified time. But we all joined our hands and thus were able to complete our valuation within the specified time. The Christmas celebrations at the school were decided to be conducted on 20 December 2019. The students often found time in between the exams to make preparations for the programmes.

REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK

INTRODUCTION Innovation in its modern meaning is "a new idea, creative thoughts, new imaginations in form of device or method". Innovation is  often also viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.  In order to fulfill the curricular achievements of the B.Ed course we teacher trainees had to prepare an innovative  work in the fourth semester for the high school section. During the course of my teaching practice session I found out that majority of the students in the high school section lacked a proper vocabulary. Once in the class while dealing with the section of synonyms I found out that most of my kids were struggling to give the proper answers for the synonym exercise which I had provided them.
