INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN

NINTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(13.01.2020- 17.01.2020) The last week of our practice teaching session too got successfully completed. This week too, we lost a working day due to a regional holiday. As we were nearing the completion of our practice teaching session, we had to complete all our pending works by this week itself. By the beginning of this week, I was able to put the achievement test in my class, followed by the diagnostic test and remedial teaching. I also collected the necessary data for my project work this week. Since the conduction of the tests took away my normal periods, I had to make some other arrangements so that I can complete my remaining lesson plans. Fortunately, the other teachers at the school were so much co-operative. Many of them were willing to give their periods. So I was able to effectively transact all the contents of my lesson plan. An awareness programme was organised at the school late this week in association with the District Police.Moral Science exams were conducted this we...

EIGHTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(06.01.2020 to 10.01.2020)The eighth week of our practice teaching session got successfully completed. Unfortunately we got only three working days this week. Two strikes came way this week and thus we lost our periods. But even then,we were able to arrange extra periods and thus effectively transacted our lessons in the class. As we were heading towards the completion of our practice teaching session, we all were pre-occupied with completing our lesson plans. I took my conscientization programme on the class this week. I took the topic 'Waste Management' since I felt that it was a much relevant topic of the day. I gave my students a short lecture on the need to dispose waste effectively and also showed them some short films that created awareness on the same. The students seemed to be much interested in such media involvement in the classroom. I had plans to conduct the achievement test by this week but as my optional teacher came to observe my class, I shifted the test to nex...

SEVENTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(30.12.2019 to 04.01.2020) The school re-opened after Christmas holidays on Monday 30 December 2019. The strength was comparatively very low this week, when compared with the other working weeks. Some students could not attend a terminal exam due to an unexpected strike. As a result, a retest was conducted for such students on the afternoon of the reopening day. As it was not announced earlier about the test, students as well as the teachers found it quite difficult. On Tuesday, the school celebrated its Christmas celebrations. There was an atmosphere of joy and mirth in and around the school. Children dressed up as Santa's were wonderful to see. Dance, songs, skits etc... were performed in connection with Christmas day celebrations. Christmas cakes were distributed to the children there after. A Christmas rally was organised in the evening to spread the message of unity and togetherness that Christmas had brought in. On Wednesday and Friday the school functioned as usual though the...
