EIGHTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(06.01.2020 to 10.01.2020)The eighth week of our practice teaching session got successfully completed. Unfortunately we got only three working days this week. Two strikes came way this week and thus we lost our periods. But even then,we were able to arrange extra periods and thus effectively transacted our lessons in the class. As we were heading towards the completion of our practice teaching session, we all were pre-occupied with completing our lesson plans. I took my conscientization programme on the class this week. I took the topic 'Waste Management' since I felt that it was a much relevant topic of the day. I gave my students a short lecture on the need to dispose waste effectively and also showed them some short films that created awareness on the same. The students seemed to be much interested in such media involvement in the classroom. I had plans to conduct the achievement test by this week but as my optional teacher came to observe my class, I shifted the test to next week. The students were very co-operating with me as they interestingly listened to my class for about continuous one hour. I was able to show many web resources related to their lessons this week. Also this week, I think I acquired the skill of how to effectively manage my time and also how to properly arrange my periods to transact my lessons without making my learners much monotonous.

REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK

INTRODUCTION Innovation in its modern meaning is "a new idea, creative thoughts, new imaginations in form of device or method". Innovation is  often also viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.  In order to fulfill the curricular achievements of the B.Ed course we teacher trainees had to prepare an innovative  work in the fourth semester for the high school section. During the course of my teaching practice session I found out that majority of the students in the high school section lacked a proper vocabulary. Once in the class while dealing with the section of synonyms I found out that most of my kids were struggling to give the proper answers for the synonym exercise which I had provided them.
