SEVENTH WEEK OF PRACTICE TEACHING SESSION

(30.12.2019 to 04.01.2020) The school re-opened after Christmas holidays on Monday 30 December 2019. The strength was comparatively very low this week, when compared with the other working weeks. Some students could not attend a terminal exam due to an unexpected strike. As a result, a retest was conducted for such students on the afternoon of the reopening day. As it was not announced earlier about the test, students as well as the teachers found it quite difficult. On Tuesday, the school celebrated its Christmas celebrations. There was an atmosphere of joy and mirth in and around the school. Children dressed up as Santa's were wonderful to see. Dance, songs, skits etc... were performed in connection with Christmas day celebrations. Christmas cakes were distributed to the children there after. A Christmas rally was organised in the evening to spread the message of unity and togetherness that Christmas had brought in. On Wednesday and Friday the school functioned as usual though the strength was low. On the New Year day, the Headmistress had asked each class to prepare their new year resolution and give it to her. The school worked on Saturday too in order to compensate a working day it had lost this week due to a public holiday. Though we got four working days this week, I was not able to effectively transact my lesson plans in the class mainly due to the poor strength of my class.
